Introduction

Ireland and the Irish in America: A Living Musical Tradition

An Exhibit to Accompany the Appearance of Cherish The Ladies

Welcome to the Web portion of the Ireland and the Irish in America exhibit in the Rohrbach Library. The exhibit on the 2nd floor of the library features images, artifacts, and information about the relationship between Ireland and the United States and how that relationship has preserved and enhanced the traditional music of Ireland. Books from the library collection relating to the subjects of Irish history, the Irish in America, and Irish traditional music are included in the exhibit.

This Web site includes a gallery of images from the exhibit, a selected list of resources available in the Rohrbach Library, supplementary information related to portions of the exhibit, and links to the music of more than two dozen active Irish and Irish-American traditional musical artists and groups.
